Growing pains occur in children from an early age, approximately 3 years of age and continues into adolescence. These pains in youngsters are a common complaint, with about 37% of 4-6 year olds suffering from them. (August 2004, Journal of Pediatrics).

Treatment options are limited with complaints often dismissed and labelled as a normal part of growing up.

Growing pains can be caused by altered biomechanics especially of the low back and pelvis. These may create an imbalance in lower limb musculature, especially the Quadriceps, Hamstring and Calf muscles.  Our clinical experience shows that with chiropractic care these symptoms can be reduced or fully resolved.
