Figures from the Chiropractor’s Association of Australia reveal that 65% of fashion injuries are high heel related according to a report published in The Telegraph on Monday the 25th of February. High heels will cause you centre of gravity to move forward causing you to extend or lean backwards to keep your balance. The other fashion problem is the current trend of large handbags causing neck, should and upper back problems for women and also for men with the male version of the  handbag, the manbag. Handbags should be well maintained by regularly cleaning them in order to lighten the load. The bulging wallet in the back pocket of the jeans can also lead to pelvic imbalance and possible pain syndromes. People, whilst wanting to keep up with the latest fashion trends, need to also be aware of their long-term spinal health.
